In this class you’ll make friends with your serger. If you’ve been hesitant to take it out of the box, or if it’s been sitting on the shelf way too long, this is the class for you. Every serger is a little different, but the major parts are the same–you might even be pleasantly surprised to discover that it’s really not that hard to thread and maintain.
Learn how to use features like differential feed for smooth, pucker free seams on knits and lightweight fabrics. Get an overview of the basic stitches and when to use them. Plus, learn tips and techniques that make working with tricky fabrics a snap.
Finally, the serger can do a lot more than finish edges, check out some fabulous techniques that are easy to do and save lots of time like creating a rolled hem on a full skirt or gathering lightweight fabric in a snap!
