Start Sewing Today with the Shorts for EveryBody PDF Version. This pattern was designed to help you make quick work of fitting. There are two different versions of the leg pieces. The first version is shaped for an average full hip. This is a great starting place if the fullest part of your butt at CB is centered between your waist and the top of your upper thighs. The second pattern accommodates a low full butt. This is the best pattern to start with if your fullest hip at CB is closer to your upper thighs.
The primary difference between these two patterns is the shape of the crotch curves. The average full hip as a curved front crotch the meets the back crotch curve in the horizontal direction. The front crotch curve on the low full hip version is not as curved so it meets the back crotch in a downward diagonal direction. Starting with these shapes in agreement with your shape makes it easier to fine tune the fit of the crotch.
Once you get the right, there are a few different design options. You can make an easy pull on version. Or choose the front fly closure. There is a button vent along the side seam at the hem for added style. This pattern is designed for non-stretch fabrics.
