Description
The Flatlock Skirt is an easy straight skirt is entirely constructed using the 3-Thread Flatlock Stitch. Use a dense version of the stitch to create a pop of color along all the vertical seams. Then increase the stitch length to attach the waistband. Increase it some more to treat the hem to the “Not So Blind – Blind Hem” technique. I designed this skirt for bottom weight knits with at least 10% stretch… such as French Terry and Ponte Knit. Use Woolly Nylon in the Needle to create decorative reverse flatlock details.
This skirt is easy to fit. Select a size that matches your full hip measurement. Baste the side seams together after constructing the CF/CB seams to test the fit. Trim the side seam edges if the skirt is too loose.
