It appears you are using a straight stitch to sew on the binding. I thought we always needed to use a stretch stitch on stretch fabrics. If not, what is your reasoning for using a straight stitch?

Hi Rosemary, Sorry for the delayed response to your comment. I use a straight stitch and gently stretch the fabric as I sew… This gives a seam with some give. The stretch stitch is a slight zig-zag… and sometime you can see the little picks of the zig and zags on the right side of the garment (so I prefer a straight stitch for a smoother look)
