Happy Holidays. I can’t believe we’ve already celebrated Thanksgiving! (Hope everyone had a very happy Thanksgiving). Today I’m celebrating Small Business Saturday with a little sale… 30% off all patterns and workbooks. The coupon code is ShopSmall30. (Sale ends Sunday at 12:00 pm pst.)
I also want to share my favorite Turkey Soup Recipe. I make it a few times during the year, but it’s never the same as when I make it at Thanksgiving because the secret ingredient is a little leftover cornbread stuffing.
To make the Turkey Stock:
Turkey bones, juices and tidbits + a pot of water + carrots, celery and onion + a little salt and pepper. Simmer on stove for a couple hours or 45 minutes in your Pressure Cooker (Instant Pot).
I found the soup recipe on Pinterest… Here’s a link to it But I substitute leftover cornbread stuffing for the butter and flour. And, I don’t put the heavy cream in, but I do agree that it would probably make it extra yummy!
I made my turkey stock yesterday… Today, I’m skimming the fat and making my soup. Perfect for the freezing weather we’re having here in Connecticut! If you’re interested in what I like to eat, my Pinterest has turned into my recipe catalog… Somehow food took over, and I haven’t updated any of my sewing and design boards.
Jen thanks for sharing. Can’t wait to make this soup next time I cook a turkey. It sounds so yummy.
🙂 Let me know how it come out! Happy Holidays
