It all started during a conversation with my friend Carol — yes, the Carol who owns DittoForm. We were chatting about her friend Jessy, the owner of Seams Fabric & Mercantile, and how Jessy had just moved her shop into a gorgeous new space. Big, bright, airy… and complete with a spacious classroom that practically begged for a hands‑on fitting workshop.
The more Carol described it, the more it felt like the perfect place to bring a group of sewists together for three days of learning, fitting, and fun. So she connected the two of us, and before long, Jessy and I were off and running with plans. And that’s how Lansing became the next stop for this workshop — a mix of friendship, opportunity, and the kind of creative energy you can’t plan for but always want to follow.

I often hold my fitting workshops in hotel event spaces, and while they work, the lighting can be a real hit‑or‑miss situation. That’s why I’m so excited for this workshop — because the classroom at Seams Fabric & Mercantile is a total game‑changer.
