Hey Everyone, It’s my last day in Sunny Florida… Sort of a Working Vacation Day. I had an amazing time with my friend Becky and the Ladies of Leofest (August Birthday Girl’s Weekend in St. Pete). I’m busy getting some stuff done before I fly home tomorrow to ‘Little House on the Prairie”. Apparently the front yard needs a hair cut 🙂 The September Happy Pants Sew Along is starting on Monday, September 17th. I’ve decided to add new members to the existing Happy Pants Sewing Along. I think this will benefit everyone. New members can check out what’s been happening and existing members can benefit from new member progress.
Here’s how the September Happy Pants Sew Along goes… There are live stream videos every Monday at 2:00 pm. Each week I’ll share a new information about fit adjustments, how to work with a fit muslin, transferring fit adjustments from the muslin to your pattern and construction techniques. I encourage you to post as many questions and pics as you need in the group.
Week 1: Body measurements and adjusting your pattern pieces. Watch a Video Tutorial showing how to take body measurements. Then I will help each of you individually to make sure you are taking accurate measurements. After we get the measurements, you have the choice of working on adjusting your pattern pieces using the Happy Pants Fit Adjustment Guide. Or I can create an adjusted PDF pattern for you.
Week 2: Cut, Sew & Fit Happy Pants Muslin. After you’re happy with your adjusted pattern pieces it’s time to sew a fit muslin. We’ll use the muslin to identify any additional fit adjustments that you may need.
Week 3: Transfer Fit Adjustments from your muslin to your paper pattern. I’ll show you how to adjust the paper pattern pieces to reflect fit adjustments on your muslin. A second fit muslin may be necessary to double check the fit of the pattern.
Week 4: Design waistband, facing and pocket pieces. I’ll show you how to design a custom fit waistband from your completed Happy Pants Pattern. Plus, we’ll design front and back pocket pieces.
Week 5: Cut out and Sew Happy Pants: Watch Video Tutorials showing how to construct your Happy Pants. Plus, get help with all your questions.
Weeks Following Week 5: One of the Happy things about the Happy Pants Sew Along is that there isn’t a time limit. Take your time and work at your own pace. I’ll be there to work with you, where you are, no matter which week it is.

Are the “live streams” available after the live stream, I have an appointment at the same time the Kickoff is scheduled? I just signed up for your Craftsy jeans class is this a good addition or redundant?
